In the references cited, circulars have been issued regarding the implementation of key academic reforms in all Govt./ Aided Junior Colleges in the State starting from the academic year 2025-26. As part of these reforms, the fourth reference outlines the annual academic calendar, which specifies the reopening of all Govt./ Aided Junior Colleges in the state from 1st April 2025. The Summer Vacation will be from 24th April 2025 to 1st June 2025, with colleges reopening on 2nd June 2025. Additionally, the fifth reference details the workload for various subjects.
For the first time, it is proposed to conduct a Bridge Course for the first-year students across all subjects. The aim of the Bridge Course is to bridge the gap between school education and intermediate education, helping students adjust to the requirements of the intermediate curriculum.
Since the colleges are reopening on 1st April 2025, the syllabus to be covered during the period from 1st April to 23rd April 2025 is appended to these proceedings. For first-year students, the syllabus will include the Bridge Course, while second-year students will follow their regular syllabus during this period.
Hence, the principals of all Govt./ Aided Junior Colleges in the State are requested to frame the timetables accordingly, based on the subject wise workload prescribed in the reference fifth cited, without any deviation.
