AP EdCET Notification 2025 Apply Online A.P. Common Entrance Test will be conducted on 05-06-2025 for admission into regular B.Ed. and B.Ed.Spl.(H.I,V.I and I.D) courses (2 years for the academic year 2025-2026). Eligible candidates can submit their applications through online only, by paying the registration and processing fee (for OC-Rs.650/-; BC-Rs.500/-; SC/ST-Rs.450/-) through online payment gateway.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES OF APEdCET-2025: A Common Entrance Test, designated as Education Common Entrance Test-2025 (APEdCET-2025) will be conducted by the CONVENER, APEdCET-2025, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission into B.Ed. Regular Course and B.Ed. Special Education in the University /Government/ Aided and /Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the Academic Year 2025-2026.

 

ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR APEdCET-2025:

Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for APEdCET-2025.

(i) The Candidates should be Indian Nationals.

(ii) The Candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974 as subsequently amended.

 

(iii) Educational Qualifications:

(a) Candidates should have passed/appearing for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M./BE/B.Tech at the time of submitting the Application for APEdCET-2025. Candidates are required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.

 

(b) Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA either in the Bachelor’s Degree i.e., B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Post- Graduate Degree in relevant subject or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories S.C, S.T, B.C.(A/B/C/D/E), and physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination.

 

Note: The candidates who passed B.E/B.Tech. (with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA), with Mathematics, Physics are eligible for admission into the Course in Maths Methodologies. Age Limit: The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on the 1st of July in the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

 

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR APEdCET-2025:

The common entrance test will be of objective type (multiple choices) examination. Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours time.

Part-A: General English - 25 questions for 25 marks

Part-B: 1) General Knowledge - 15 questions for 15 marks 2) Teaching Aptitude - 10 questions for 10 marks

3) Part-C: Methodology:

Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects. It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.

1) Mathematics - 100 questions for 100marks

2) Physical Sciences - 100 questions for 100marks (i) Physics - 50 questions for 50marks (ii) Chemistry - 50 questions for 50marks

3) Biological Sciences - 100 questions for 100marks (i) Botany - 50 questions for 50marks (ii) Zoology - 50 questions for 50marks

4) Social Studies - 100 questions for 100marks (i) Geography - 35 questions for 35marks (ii) History - 30 questions for 30marks (iii) Civics - 15 questions for 15marks (iv) Economics - 20 questions for 20marks 5) English - 100 questions for 100marks Note: Part - A and Part - B are common for all the candidates irrespective of Methodology chosen in Part-C.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE CHOICE OF SUBJECT UNDER PART-C: (G.O.Ms.No. 92, Education (SE-Trg-I) Department, dated 16-11-2006 and the amendments thereafter).

 

METHODOLOGY ELIGIBILITY:

1. Mathematics: Candidates with B.A/B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or B.C.A. candidate’s with Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject or B.E./B.Tech. with Mathematics &Physics.

2. Physical Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc. who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences (See Annexure-I) under Part-II group subjects or B.C.A. Candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subjects.

3. Biological Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or Allied Life Sciences (See Annexure-II) under Part-II group subjectsor B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at intermediate level as group subjects.

4. Social Studies: All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. candidates with Social Sciences at intermediate level as group subjects. 

5. English: Candidates with B.A Special English or M.A. English.

 

APEDCET 2025 QUALIFYING MARKS: The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) are 37 out oftotal marks (i.e. 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.  

 

APEdCET -2025 RESULTS RANKING: Candidates will be ranked in each methodology in the order of merit on the basis of marks obtained in APEdCET -2025 examination. Where there is a tie in total marks, Part-C marks will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of further tie, the marks obtained in Part-A will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the parts of the test, they shall be bracketed for the purpose of award of rank. At the time of admission into the course, age shall be taken into consideration for relative ranking among the bracketed candidates and the older candidates shall be given priority. 

 

The rank obtained in APEdCET-2025 is valid for entry into B.Ed. course for the academic year 2025-2026 only.
