All the Principals of Junior Colleges in the State are informed that, it is decided to enhance the working hours of Junior Colleges w.e.f the AY 2025-26, from existing Seven (7) periods per day to Eight (8) periods a day with 50 minutes duration each for the first seven periods and 60 minutes for the last period as tabulated hereunder. The students must be engaged during all the 8 periods irrespective of course of study.

Further it is informed that they should follow the below instructions scrupulously:
- No instruction and no tests should be conducted on Sundays and public Holidays.
- Should follow the Annual Academic calendar issued by the BIE, AP without any deviation.
- For Science groups, 9 periods per week (3 for Mathematics/Biology, 3 for Physics and 3 for Chemistry) must be allotted for Competitive Coaching (CC) i.e., EAPCET, JEE, NEET etc.
- For every week. one period each must be allotted to Co-curricular activities, Sports, Library etc.. as per the workload provided hereunder.
