All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, all the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio District Project Coordinators and all the Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are hereby informed that, the Project Approval Board has the approved budget for an amount of Rs.85,62,400/- towards Excursion Trip to the Elementary Students with in the State for 3892 students @Rs.200/- (Rs.7,78,400/-) and Exposure visit to the Elementary Students Out of the State for 3892 students @Rs.2000/- (Rs.77,84,000/-).
All the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio District Project Coordinators and all the Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are hereby instructed to planned for the Excursion and Exposure Trip according to their convenient date and time before 25th of February 2025 and select Schools for Study Trip within the State & Exposure Visit to Out of the State at Elementary Level in the Enrolment Criteria (Highest to Lowest enrolment in Government Primary Schools).
Selection Criteria of the Students & Escort Teachers:
- Select one Student per one school who is good at science and mathematics/ participated in Mandal level science fair is eligible for Study Trip within the State & Exposure Visit to Out of the State to the Secondary School students who got prizes at district level science fair 2024-25 held on 31.12.2024 to 04.01.2025 in 26 districts.
- The Teachers who participated in District Level Science Fair in Teacher Project Category are selected as the Escort teachers. Allocate 1 Escort Teacher to every 10 students.
- One Female escort Teacher is Mandatory for every 10 Girl Students. The Team of students may be escorted by the AMOs and DSOs.
Objectives of the Visit:
- To expose students to hands-on science experiments and exhibits
- To encourage curiosity and interest in science and technology
- To provide a platform for students to learn through interactive and immersive experiences
- To develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Pre-Visit Activities:
- Destination selection: Choose a destination within the state that aligns with the objectives and is safe for students.
- Date and duration: Schedule the visit on a date and for a duration that minimise the disruption to academic activities.
- Student selection: Select students who will benefit from the visit, considering factors like academic performance. (Select Winners & Runners in Southern Science Fair 2025). Parents consent is mandatory.
- Chaperone arrangement: Arrange for adequate chaperones (teachers/staff) to accompany the students. (1 Female Escort Teachers Is for every 10 Girls)
- Transportation: Book suitable transportation in advance, ensuring safety and comfort. (Preferable choose APSRTC Vehicles for safety and security) Preferably 40-50 Students for Bus.
- Accommodation and Food: Arrange for accommodation, if required, ensuring safety, security, and comfort. (Make sure Food should prepared and served in Hygiene areas).
- Itinerary: Prepare a detailed itinerary, including travel, accommodation, and activity schedules.
Pre-Departure Preparations:
- Student briefing: Brief students on the objectives, itinerary, and expectations.
- Parental consent: Obtain parental consent for each student, including medical emergency permissions.
- Medical arrangements: Ensure necessary medical arrangements, such as first-aid kits and emergency contact information.
- Safety guidelines: Provide students with safety guidelines, including emergency contact numbers.
- Formation of Teams and Team Leaders. (10 Students 1 Team1Escort Teacher).
During the Exposure Visit:
- Chaperone supervision: Ensure chaperones/Lady Teachers always supervise girl students. Organize Teams and Team Leaders Properly.
- Activity execution: Execute activities as per the itinerary, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
- Student behaviour: Monitor student behaviour, addressing any misbehaviour promptly.
- Emergency response: Establish a plan for emergency response, including communication protocols.
Post-Exposure Visit Activities:
- Debriefing session: Conduct a debriefing session with students to reflect on their experiences.
- Evaluation report: Prepare an evaluation report, assessing the visit's effectiveness in meeting objectives.
- Parental feedback: Share the evaluation report with parents, seeking their feedback.
- Documentation: Maintain records of the visit, including photographs, reports, and feedback.
- Photography: Take / Collect Photos wherever Necessary and File in Documentation.
