All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are here by informed that in the reference 1st read above, the Government have accorded administrative approval for implementation of Mid-Day Meals Programme to all students studying in 1st and 2nd Year of Intermediate course in 475 Government Junior Colleges aiming to enhance student’s nutrition, Education, and over all well-being.
Accordingly in the reference 2nd cited detailed instructions have been issued to all Regional Joint Directors and District Educational Officers across the state to ensure the implementation of Mid-Day Meal program in all Government Junior Colleges with effect from 4th January, 2025.After that numerous requests have been received on implementation of Mid-Day Meals to the Students studying in High school plus institutions and to the Day scholars of Intermediate course studying in A.P. Model Schools on par with the students of Government Jr. colleges .
After considering the requests, the Government have decided to implement the Mid Day Meal Scheme to the Students studying in High school plus institutions and to the Day scholars of Intermediate course studying in A.P. Model Schools With effect from 04.01.2025.
Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors and District Educational Officers in the State are requested to issue necessary instructions to all the field functionaries of their jurisdiction, including NGOs to implement the MDM scheme in all High School Plus institutions and to the Day scholars of Intermediate course studying in A.P. Model Schools with effect from 04.01.2025 and also issue instructions utilize the food grains at the rate of 200 grams per student per day for preparation of hot-cooked rice.
Top Priority should be given to this item of work.
