The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference read above and hereby they are informed that, the Mid Day Meals Program Implementing with the vision to provide adequate, balanced, tasty and quality nutritional support to the school going children studying in Government and Government Aided Schools in the State to avoid classroom hunger & malnutrition and to achieve the ultimate objective of best learning outcomes of the students by providing hot cooked meals as Mid- day meal in Schools.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh intended to standardize the day wise menu providing under the scheme as part of 100 days programme during the Collector Conference. Accordingly, all the District Collectors and Magistrates conducted district level workshops on revision of the Menu and communicated the same to this Office for taking further action.
In order to standardize the day wise menu under the scheme it is proposed by the Government to conduct a State Level Workshop on Standardization of Mid Day Meal Menu under PM POSHAN(MDM) on 04-11-2024 at CK Convention hall, Atmakur Village(NH), Mangalagiri, Guntur.
In view of the above, it is to inform that a District level committee to be constituted with the members i) District Educational Officer ii) Assistant Director(Schemes) iii) Cook.cum helpers-6(Active and well versed in preparation of menu) and they have to attend the above mentioned Workshop along with all required ingredients and vessels to prepare the proposed menu which is decided during district level workshop under the chairpersonship of District Collectors. The required vegetables, Fortified Rice, Oil, salt, Eggs and Chikkis are provided by this office. Hence, I request all the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to attend the above said Workshop without fail and provide necessary inputs on standardizing the Mid Day Meals menu under the scheme.

Hence, I request all the Regional Joint Directors in the State to attend the above said Workshop to provide necessary inputs and facilitate the programme.
