The Department of School Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi has informed that the Swachhta Hi Sewa (SHS), 2024 is to be conducted from 14th September to 2nd October, 2024 in schools and For observing the Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) in a beftting manner for focused participation resulting in cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene drive and other relate activities in schools with active involvement of students, teachers and community, the schools/ institutions may be instructed to undertake the following suggested participatory activities during 14th September to 2nd October, 2024:
- Swachhta Shapath by the students and teachers on Swabhav Swachhata -Sanskaar Swachhata:
- Cleanliness drive in the schools, hostels and educational institutions to remove the garbage/ waste with the help of teachers;
- Essay/ Poem/ Debate/ Slogan writing/ Quiz and Painting on 'Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata', Importance of Waste Management and Elimination of Single Use plastic etc.
- A selfie point may be installed at entry points of schools on the theme of Swachhata Hi Sewa encouraging engagement of students/ teachers/ school staff/ parents to pride in cleanliness through interactive photo opportunities;
- Human chain event may be organized where students/teachers/ people from community join hands to raise awareness and demonstrate commitment to cleanliness and sanitation;
- Street play/ Nukkad natak may be performed in schools or nearby areas to educate and entertain while promoting cleanliness initiatives;
- Plantation of saplings in schools, hostels and educational institutions' areas; on the lines of hugely popular Ek-Ped-Maa-Ke-Naam
- Awareness rallies/ Prabhat Pheri with students/ teachers/ school staf with slogans on Swachhata Hi Sewa and 'Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhata' theme to create awareness in the community,
- School level Cultural events promoting the sanitation journey of the country,
- Swachhata Classes/ Swachhata ki Pathshaala! Swachhata Samvad~ Educational sessions/ workshops for students/ teachers about cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene practices;
- Health check-up camps may be organized for SafaiMitra! Sanitation workers and their dependents at Block/ District level.
- Give adequate social media outreach to the Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) 2024 campaign, including Shramdaan activity, each activity must be well documented and backed up with high resolution photography and videography. Therefore, all the District Educational Officers and all the Additional Project Coordinators in the state are may be requested to take necessary action and issue necessary instructions to the CMOs, AMOs, Mandal Educational Officers and respective School Head Masters in the State to intimate the number of schools and students participated in the Swachhta Hi Sewa (SHS), activity to the District CMOs in the state. Ensure the participation of students, teachers, parents, local people and representative etc., in the Swachhta Hi Sewa during 14th September – 2nd October, 2024 and make the Swachhata Hi Sewa successful.

3. 20.09.24 - Door to door awareness ( తడి చెత్త, పొడి చెత్త పై పాఠశాల చుట్టుపక్కల వారికి అవగాహన కల్పించడం...)

11. 01.10.24 - conduct grama sabhas on SBM activities - గ్రామసభ లో పాల్గొని ఈ కార్యక్రమం గురించి తెలియపరచటం, పాటలు పాడించటం.
12. 02.09.24 - swachh Bharath diwas - ఈ కార్యక్రమము గురించి స్కూల్ లెవెల్ లో జరిపిన పోటీలలో గెలుపొందిన వారికి ప్రైజ్ డిస్ట్రిబ్యూషన్.
