The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers various scholarships to students pursuing technical education in India. These scholarships aim to provide financial assistance to meritorious students and encourage them to pursue technical education. Some of the most popular AICTE scholarships include:


1. AICTE – Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Diploma/Degree): This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in technical diploma or degree courses in Indian institutions recognized by AICTE.


2. Pragati Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is specifically designed for female students pursuing technical courses. The scholarship amount varies depending on the course and the student's family income.


3. Saksham Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is awarded to students with disabilities pursuing technical courses. The scholarship amount varies depending on the course and the student's disability.


The financial assistance under these scholarships varies and selected students will receive it through direct bank transfer.


AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2024-25

Last Date:  31-Oct-2024


Eligibility:


To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be an Indian national
  • belong to a specially-abled category with a benchmark disability of not less than 40%
  • Be admitted to the first or second year (through lateral entry) of a degree/diploma program in a current-year AICTE-approved institution
  • have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

Benefits:  Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹50,000 per year for each year of their studies till the course completion.


Note:- No other additional grant will be payable instead of hostel charges medical charges, etc.


Documents:


  • Copy of Marksheets from Class 10 and 12 (as applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Income Certificate issued by the State/UT Government for the preceding financial year
  • Admission letter for a degree/diploma program issued by the Directorate of Technical Education
  • Receipt of tuition fee payment
  • Copy of a bank account passbook seeded with an Aadhaar Card showing the applicant's photograph, account number, and IFSC code
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • A duly signed declaration by parents confirming the accuracy of the information provided in the application form (if applicable)

How can you apply?


Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-


Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 


Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).


Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.


Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).


Step 5: Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.


Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.


Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.


Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number, students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)


Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.


Step 10: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.

Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form.  Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls 2024-25

 Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:- 

  • be a female Indian national
  • be admitted to the first year of a diploma or degree program at an AICTE-approved institution OR
  • be admitted to the second year of a diploma or degree program through lateral entry at an AICTE-approved institution for the respective year
  • have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

Note:- Up to two female members per family are eligible for this scholarship.


Benefits:  A total of 10,000 scholarships are available each year, with 5,000 awarded for diploma programs and 5,000 for degree programs. Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹50,000 per year for each year of their studies till the course completion.


Note:- 

  • Additional grants will not be provided for hostel charges, medical charges, etc.
  • In addition to the above-mentioned number of scholarships, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will also award scholarships to all eligible females from the following 13 Union Territories and North Eastern States who submit an online application:
    • Andaman and Nicobar Islands (UT)
    • Jammu and Kashmir (UT)
    • Ladakh (UT)
    • Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu (UT)
    • Lakshadweep (UT)
    • Arunachal Pradesh
    • Assam
    • Manipur

AICTE – Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Diploma/Degree) 2024-25

Eligibility


To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an Indian national
  • be a ward impacted by COVID-19 (i.e., lost one or both parents due to COVID-19) or a ward of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces personnel martyred in action (Shaheed)
  • be enrolled full-time in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a degree or diploma program at an AICTE-approved institution
  • have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

Note:- Applicants must not be receiving any other central/state government/AICTE-sponsored scholarships at the time of applying.


Benefits: Selected candidates will receive a lump sum of ₹50,000 per year to cover college fees, computer purchases, stationery, books, equipment, and software. This amount is for the entire year of study and hostel & medical charges are not included.


Award Duration:

  • Degree students in higher years (2nd, 3rd, or 4th) will receive the scholarship for their remaining years of study (1st, 2nd, or 3rd year, respectively).
  • Diploma students in higher years (2nd or 3rd) will receive the scholarship for their remaining years (1st and 2nd year, respectively).

Documents


For Orphan Candidates:-

  • Death certificates of both parents (if available) OR
  • A certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM in the enclosed format (Annexure I)
  • Bonafide certificate issued by the institution
  • Class 12 or equivalent and Class 10 marksheets (for degree level)
  • Class 10 or equivalent marksheet (for diploma level)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

 For Candidates who lost a parent to Covid-19:

  • Death certificate of the deceased parent explicitly mentioning COVID-19 as the cause of death
  • If one parent is alive: Income certificate (current year) issued by a competent authority, stating family income below ₹8,00,000
  • Bonafide certificate issued by the institution.
  • Class 12 or equivalent and Class 10 marksheets (for degree level)
  • Class 10 or equivalent marksheet (for diploma level)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

 Wards of Martyred Armed Forces/Central Paramilitary Personnel:

  • Death certificate of the martyred personnel.
  • Shaheed certificate issued by the Armed Forces/Central Paramilitary Forces.
  • Bonafide certificate issued by the institution
  • Class 12 or equivalent and Class 10 marksheets (for degree level)
  • Class 10 or equivalent marksheet (for diploma level)
  • Income certificate (current year) issued by a competent authority, stating family income below  ₹8,00,000
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
