It is informed that in the reference 2nd read above instructions have been issued along with Standard Operating Procedures for conducting baseline assessment/ PWT-I for 77,518 students of X Grade across 1000 CBSE affiliated government schools. This assessment is designed to evaluate the students' preparedness for the CBSE Board examinations in 2025. The assessments will be conducted digitally covering the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. The revised schedule for the assessment is as follows:

The Coordinator, Education Initiatives is requested to prepare and provide question papers for all the four subjects as per the revised schedule both for trial as well as the main assessments at the earliest.
The Assistant Director, IT section of the office of the Director of School Education is instructed to follow the revised schedule, guarantee that every student has access to a tablet with the required specifcations for running the assessment software smoothly and ensure stable internet connections in all examination centres to prevent any disruptions.
The following steps have to be taken by the HMs/ Principals of concerned schools for smooth conduct of said assessments scrupulously.
- The Head Masters/ Principals shall ensure 100% students attendance and conduct assessment as per schedule.
- Ensure that all X Class students have Tabs in working condition.
- Verify that all the tablets are functioning properly, confrm necessary software/apps are installed, and ensure all tablets are fully charged or have access to charging stations.
- Verify that all tabs are connected to stable internet connectivity.
- Confrm that all tablets are synced and ready for the assessment.
- Ensure adequate spacing between students to prevent malpractice.
- Set up user authentication (individual logins) for each student.
- Assign the invigilators who are having technical knowledge to monitor the assessment @ 20 students one invigilator and issue necessary training to them for efective conduct of assessment.
- To ensure the subject teachers concerned are not involved on the particular day of assessment as invigilator.
- Ensure invigilators are vigilant and responsive to any technical issues.
- Maintain a log of any incidents or issues during the assessment.
- To maintain 20 bufer Tablets to replace if any technical problem persists with Tabs.
Schools where there is No internet / Poor Connectivity:
Schools where Internet is not available / poor Internet connection is observed shall make alternate arrangements for connecting the devices with internet dongles / hotspots. In case of further difficulty, they can take the tabs to the nearest MEO Office / MRC Centres for synchronizing to server before the commencement of the exam to download the paper and at the end to upload the responses to the server.
Further informed that for providing stable internet connectivity @ Rs.25/- per student will be released to the concerned Head Master / Principal from Samagra Shiksha funds.
And the MEOs and MIS Coordinators are instructed to provide minimum three extension spikes to each school at average expenditure of Rs.1,000/- per school and the said amount will be released from Samagra Shiksha funds.
Further informed that for smooth conduct of the Baseline Assessment Test, the following required personnel have been deployed
School level : HM and 2 teachers along with vocational trainer/Data Entry Operator for technical support.
Mandal Level : Headed by MEOs & MIS –Coordinators
District Level :Headed by the concerned DEO along with APC, Dy.Eos, Convegenius member, Command Control Teams, ASOs, APOs, Planning Coordinators and District Nodal Officer for technical assistance
Regional Level : Monitored by the concerned RJDSEs along with Command Control team.
Therefore, the RJDSEs and the District Educational Officers in the state are instructed to disseminate the guidelines to all the Principals / HMs of all 1000 CBSE affiliated schools and ensure smooth conduct of assessments. Further instructed to involve all the MEOs, Dy.EOs, Sectoral Officers of Samagra Shiksha, District Nodal Persons, representatives of ConvGenius, MIS Coordinators, allotted Vocational Trainers, Command Control Team and issue necessary instructions to monitor all the examination centres under their jurisdiction closely and also take stringent measures to redress all types of issues in conduct of above said assessments without fail duly following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued earlier.
