The immediate attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education & District Educational Officers in the State are invited to the reference read above, wherein the Government have accorded permission to the Commissioner of School Education, A.P., for Upgradation of 210 High Schools into High School Plus i.e. Co-Education (207) & Girls (03) present in 208 Mandals out of 679 Mandals shown bold letters in Annexure appended to the G.O.Ms.No.14 ,dated:20.02.2024 with 02 groups out of 03 groups i.e. MPC., BiPC & CEC @ 40 students to each group, from the Academic Year, 2024 - 2025, to be functional from 1st June, 2024, so as to enable to fulfill the Government policy that every Mandal shall have two Intermediate Junior Colleges i.e. one is for Coeducation and one is exclusively for Girls.
With the above upgradation, the Department of School Education achieves the objective of having at least two Government Intermediate Colleges (one exclusively for girls, one co-ed) per mandal in the state. With this intervention the access for the senior secondary students from academic year 2024-25 will increase substantially which will help the Department to achieve 100% Composite GER. For ready reference, the details of both Colleges per Mandal for all the Mandals in the State have been put in the Annexure.
Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education & District Educational Officers in the State are hereby instructed to take further necessary action in the matter.
