The Government have taken up Mana Badi Nadu-Nedu (MBNN) in 446 Government Junior Colleges in a mission mode in a phased manner since 2022 for improvement of infrastructure with 8 components with an outlay of Rs.280 crores. (i) Toilets with running water; (ii) Drinking water supply; (iii) Major and Minor repairs; (iv) Electrification with fans and tube lights; (v) Furniture for students and staff; (vi) Green Chalk board; (vii) Painting and (viii) Compound wall.
Apart from the above infrastructure facilities in the Government Junior Colleges under Nadu-Nedu Phase II, Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) are being provided to the GJCs where the work has been completed. Hence, Government has been requested to accord permission to engage night watchmen @1 per Junior College in all the 476 Government Junior Colleges in the State to the safe guard of the new furniture and Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) etc.,.
Government in G.O.Ms.No.55, School Education (IE.A1) Department, Dated:16.06.2023 (copy enclosed) has accorded permission to the under signed to engage of night watchmen @1 per Junior College in all 476 Government Junior Colleges (non-residential) by the 'College Development Committees' and make payment of an honorarium of @ Rs.6,000/- per month to the Night Watchman duly giving the priority to the following persons in appointment:
- First preference will be given to the husband of Ayah already appointed;
- Second preference will be given to the Ex-Service men in the Village/Ward; and
- if (a) and (b) are not available, then the College Development Committee may appoint any other eligible person as per rules.
Therefore, Principals of GJC's are hereby instructed to engage the night watchman as per instructions laid down in G.O. scrupulously and submit the bills to the Secretary, BIE, A.P., Tadepalli through the DVEO's concerned to make payment of Honorarium @ Rs.6,000/- per month to each night watchmen in 459 GJC's as per requirement in the State (List enclosed).
This should be treated as at most urgent.
