All the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are informed that, the Government of India, Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, New Delhi has stated that, October,31 is celebrated across the country as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of national integration of independent India. It is a special occasion to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen the unit, integrity and security of our nation. Run for Unity may be organized in each and every school preferably before the assembly on 31.10.2023. It has been decided, to initiate a pledge taking ceremony to mark the occasion.
The text of the pledge is as follows:
"I solemnly pledge that, I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country"
జాతీయ ఐక్యతా ప్రతిజ్ఞ
నా దేశం యొక్క ఐక్యత, సమగ్రత మరియు భద్రతను కాపాడడానికి నాకు నేనుగా అంకితమవుతానని ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేస్తున్నాను. ఇదే సందేశాన్ని నా తోటి దేశస్థులతో పంచుకుని, వ్యాప్తి చేయడానికి కృషి చేస్తానని ప్రతిజ్ఞ. చేయుచున్నాను. శ్రీ సర్దార్ వల్లభాయ్ పటేల్ దూరదృష్టి వలన వారు చేపట్టిన చర్యల తో సాధ్యమైన నా దేశ ఏకత్వము స్ఫూర్తితో నేను ఈ ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేస్తున్నాను. ఈ సందర్భంగా నా దేశం యొక్క అంతర్గత భద్రతను కాపాడడానికి నా స్వీయ సహకారం అందించాలని మనసా, వాచా, కర్మణా నిశ్చయించుకున్నాను.
In this regard, they are requested to take necessary action to celebrate the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day, 2023) in a befitting manner. Schools may be advised to coordinate with the local office of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department and MY-BHARAT platform.
Further, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha are requested draft a plan of action including location where the Unity Run is being organized and intimate the same to this office by 28th October,2023. Following the event, an action taken report including following details may be sent to this office.
i. No. of schools under your organization
ii. No. of schools & students participated in the Unity Run and the Pledge taking ceremony
iii. No. of schools which uploaded photographs of the event on social media.
Hence, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are requested to issue instructions to all school Headmasters in their jurisdiction to celebrate the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31.10.2023 and Run for Unity may be organized in each and every school preferably before the assembly on 31.10.2023.
