Swachhata Hi Sewa Programme 2023 Activities, Instructions Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) Campaign 2023 in all schools from 15th Sep to 2nd October instructions issued

The Department of School Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi has informed that the Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) campaign 2023 from 15th Sep to 2nd October in schools and also ensured focused participation of students, teachers and community members about the cleanliness through school and community based initiatives, it has been decided to observe Swachh Bharat Diwas (SBD) in all the schools across the country by organizing an intensive Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) campaign - 2023 from 15th Sep to 2nd October wherein the schools will conduct the following suggestive activities:
a. Swachhta Shapath by the students and teachers.
b. Cleanliness drive in the schools, hostels and educational institutions to remove the garbage with the help of teachers.
c. Plantation of saplings in schools, hostels and educational institutions areas.
d. Essay/Poem/debate/Slogan Writing on Garbage free India and Waste Management etc.
e. Cleaning and branding of all sanitation assests like litter bins, tollets etc. In the schools.
f. Awareness rallies in the community on the importance of waste segregation at source, alternatives to single use Plastic (SUP) etc..
g. Quiz and Painting on Swachhta hi Sewa and Garbage free India Theme.
h. Formation of Sanitation clubs in the schools.
i. Schools level cultural events promoting the sanitation journey of the country.
j. Sensitization by teachers to the students on the importance of shramdan, swachhata and community service in morning assemblies.
Therefore, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinator in the state are requested to take necessary action and issue necessary instructions to the mandal Educational Officers and Schools Headmasters to intimate the number of school and students participated in the Swachhta Hi Sewa, activity to the District CMOS in the state. Ensure the participation of students, teachers, Parents, Local People and representative etc., in the Swachhta Hi Sewa during 15th to 2nd September, 2023 and make the Swachhata Hi Sewa Successful.
