The attention of the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are invited to the reference cited and it is informed that Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana (Scholarship for promotion of Aptitude & Research in stamps as a Hobby or SPARSH), annual scholarship program awarded to the students who have good academic record and also pursue Philately as a hobby for reinforcing the efforts aimed towards increasing the reach of Philately.
The objective of the scholarship program is to promote Philately among children at a young age in a sustainable manner that can reinforce and supplement the academic curriculum in addition to providing a hobby that can help them relax and de-stress.
Eligibility
- Candidate must be a student (Class VI to IX) of any Government or Private Recognized school within India.
- Candidate shall have a Philately Deposit Account (PDA) or a member of school Philately club of respective schools.
Selection Process:
- Consists of Two levels – Written quiz and submission Philately Project by selected candidates in quiz.
- Total 40 students will be selected for scholarship (10 students frim each class).
Scholarship
- 6000/-for each candidate on final selection along with Certificate.
Therefore the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are requested to issue necessary instructions to all the Head Masters/Principals regarding this scholarship scheme for maximum participation of students.

Postal Scholarship: విద్యార్థులకు 'తపాలా' ఉపకారం
ఎంపికైతే ఏటా రూ.6 వేల స్కాలర్షిప్ దీన్ దయాళ్ స్పర్మ్ యోజన పేరుతో పోటీలు 6 నుంచి 9 తరగతుల విద్యార్థులకు అవకాశం..
నేటితరం విద్యార్థుల్లో సృజనాత్మకత, జిజ్ఞాసను పెంపొందించేందుకు తపాలాశాఖ దీన్ దయాళ్ స్పర్మ్ యోజన పేరుతో విద్యార్థులకు పోటీ పరీక్షలు నిర్వహిస్తోంది. చరిత్ర, క్రీడలు, విజ్ఞానం, సమకాలీన అంశాలు, సంప్రదాయాలు వంటి పలు అంశాలపై విద్యార్థులు అవగాహన పెంపొందించుకోవాలన్నది దీని ఉద్దేశం. తపాలా బిళ్లల సేకరణ, అధ్యయనం (ఫిలాటలీ) వల్ల కలిగే ప్రయోజనాలను వివరించేందుకు ఏటా ఈ పోటీలను నిర్వహిస్తోంది.
ఎంపిక ప్రక్రియ
రెండు దశల్లో ఉత్తీర్ణత సాధించిన విద్యార్థులను విజయవాడ, హైదరాబాద్లోని తపాలాశాఖ సర్కిల్ కార్యాలయం అధికారులు ఎంపిక చేస్తారు. వారికి ప్రతినెలా రూ.500 చొప్పున ఏడాదికి రూ.6 వేల ఉపకార వేతనం అందిస్తారు. ఈ సాయం పొందేందుకు విద్యార్థులు తమ పేరు, తల్లిదండ్రుల పేరుతో తపాలాశాఖలో జాయింట్ సేవింగ్స్ అకౌంట్ను తెరవాల్సి ఉంటుంది. మూడు నెలలకు ఒకసారి విద్యార్థి ఖాతాలో తపాలాశాఖ ఉపకార వేతనం మొత్తాన్ని జమ చేస్తుంది.
దరఖాస్తు ఎలా..?
6 నుంచి 9వ తరగతి చదువుతున్న ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేటు పాఠశాలల విద్యార్థులు ఎవరైనా దీన్ దయాళ్ స్పర్మ్ యోజన పోటీ పరీక్ష రాసేందుకు అర్హులు. సెప్టెంబర్ 20వ తేదీలోపు విద్యార్థులు తమ పాఠశాల ప్రధానోపాధ్యాయుల ద్వారా దరఖాస్తులు పంపాలి. దరఖాస్తును పాఠశాల హెచ్ఎం పేరు మీద సంబంధిత రీజనల్ ఆఫీస్ కు పంపించాలి. తపాలాశాఖలో రూ.200 చెల్లించి పోటీ పరీక్ష రాసే విద్యార్థి పేరుతో లేదా హెచ్ఎంల పేరుపై ఫిలాటలీ ఖాతా ఫిలాటలీ క్లబ్ అకౌంట్ను తెరవాలి. లేదా ఖాతా తెరవగానే రూ.180 విలువ చేసే తపాలా బిళ్లలను ఇస్తారు. ఇవి పోటీ పరీక్షలు రాసేందుకు ఉపయోగపడతాయి. పరీక్ష తేదీని తపాలా అధికారులు పాఠశాల ప్రధానోపాధ్యాయులకు తెలియజేస్తారు.
రెండు దశల్లో..
దీన్ దయాళ్ స్పర్మ్ యోజన పోటీ పరీక్ష రెండు దశల్లో జరుగుతుంది. మొదటి దశలో స్క్రీనింగ్ పరీక్ష ఉంటుంది. రెండో దశలో ప్రాజెక్టు వర్క్ ఉంటుంది. స్క్రీనింగ్ పరీక్షలో జనరల్ నాలెడ్జ్, స్టాంపులు, చరిత్ర, క్రీడలు, సైన్స్, కరెంట్ అఫైర్స్ సబ్జెక్టుల నుంచి 50 మల్టిపుల్ ఛాయిస్ ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. ఇందులో ఉత్తీర్ణత సాధించిన విద్యార్థులు రెండో దశ ప్రాజెక్టు వర్కు చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఇందులో జంతువులు, పక్షులు, ప్రదేశాలు, పూలు, సంగీతం వంటి విభాగాల్లో విద్యార్థులు ఏదో ఒక అంశాన్ని ఎంచుకొని ఇంటి వద్దనే ప్రాజెక్టు వర్క్ పూర్తిచేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. విద్యార్థులు 16 స్టాంపులతో 4, 5 పేజీలకు మించకుండా ప్రాజెక్టు వర్క్న పూర్తిచేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. పూర్తయిన ప్రాజెక్టును సంబంధిత తపాలాశాఖ రీజనల్ ఆఫీస్ చిరునామాకు పంపాలి.
