AP NMMS 2023 Notification, Apply Online AP NMMS Exam 2023 Notification It is hereby notified that the State Level National Means-cum Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination for class VIII for the academic year 2023-24 will be conducted and the examination date will be announced later. The Examination conducted in Telugu, Urdu and English medium at all Revenue Divisional Head Quarters of 26 Districts in the State.

With reference to the subject cited, I wish to inform you that as per the guidelines of Ministry of Education, New Delhi, the Government Andhra Pradesh State is Conducting National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination for the students those who are studying VIII Class in Government, ZP, Municipal, Aided Schools and Model Schools (without residential facility). For this year the annual parental income is enhanced from Rs.1,50,000/- to Rs.3,50,000/-.
In this connection, I wish to bring to your notice that there is a decline in the number of students taking the said examination from your district. The scheme is meant for the students of below poverty. A total of 4087 scholarships were allotted to the state and based on the child population and enrollment of the students for class VII and VIII, these scholarships will be distributed district wise and redistributed category wise according to the state Government norms.
In view of the above DGE requests all the DEOs to kindly issue instructions to all Head Masters concerned to bring awareness among the students to ensure more registrations for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination from Government High Schools, ZP High Schools, Municipal High Schools, Model Schools (without residential facility) and Aided High Schools and give wide publicity through Print, Electronic and Social Media in your District.
The applications will be received through online procedure only.
ELIGIBILITY: A candidate who has/is
(i) Scored at least 55% of marks in case of OC/BC and 50% of marks in case of SC/ST or equivalent grade i.e., B+ for all categories in class VII Examination studied during the year 2022-23.
(ii) Studying in Government, Local Body (ZP/Municipal), Government Aided, AP Model (day scholars only) and MPUP (Running 8th class) schools only.
(iii) Whose parental annual income (both Parents put together) is below Rs.3,50,000/- from all sources for which candidates have to produce latest original Annual Income Certificate issued by the MRO, in case of Private employee and certificate issued by the employer in case of Government employee.
(iv) Candidate has to submit the original caste certificate and also Income certificate (issued by the MRO) to the Headmaster.
AP NMMS 2023-24 FEE:
Examination fee is Rs.100/- for OC and BC students & Rs. 50/- for SC and ST students. The examination fee has to be paid through SBI Collect only (follow user guide available in website www.bse.ap.gov.in).
AP NMMS 2023-24 Due Dates, Schedule:
Due dates for payment of National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination fee and submission of Nominal roll along with fee receipts by the head masters. The above said Examination is for class VIII studying students.

AP NMMS 2023-24 Exam Date: 03-12-2023
NMMS SCHEME:
- The Ministry for Human Resource Development, Government of India has launched centrally sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS). Under this scheme an examination will be conducted and selected candidates will get the scholarship.
- Every year 1,00,000 students will be selected throughout India. Out of which 4087 scholarships are being allotted to Residuary Andhra Pradesh and have been distributed among the districts basing on enrollment in VII & VIII Classes and Child population for each academic year.
- The Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is conducting NMMS examination from August 2008.
- This examination is conducted every year in the month of November for the students who are studying VIII class in Government / Local Body / Municipal / Aided Schools / Model Schools (without Residential Facility).
- The beneficiaries are being selected basing on the merit and as per the reservation norms followed by the state.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION
| MAT | • 90 Multiple Choice Questions. • 90 Marks & Each question carries one mark. • No negative marking |
| SAT | • 90 Multiple Choice Questions • 90 Marks Covering social science, science and mathematics of class VII & VIII. Each question carries one mark • No negative marking. |
Duration for both MAT and SAT is 180 Minutes

QUALIFYING PERCENTAGE:
- 1) GEN, BC & PH: 40% (36 MARKS)
- 2) SC & ST: 32% (29 MARKS)
NOTE:The student must Qualify both the tests i.e., Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) with at least 40% marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT:
- 1.The selected student shall receive a sum of Rs. 12,000/- per annum for which the selected student shall have to open a joint Savings Bank Account with their parents in any S.B.I or in any Nationalized Bank which has core banking facility/ESC facility. Accounts other than Savings bank will be rejected at the time of disbursement of Scholarship.
- Every Selected student should Register and submit his/her application on National Scholarship Portal i.e., www.scholarships.gov.in. After successful submission of application on portal, concerned Institute Nodal Officer (INO) should Verify the application through INO Login and the same should be verified by concerned District Nodal Officer (DNO) through DNO Login. Otherwise student will not get the scholarship forever.
- The student should verify Student Login frequently for payment status on National Scholarship Portal. Status is only available in Student Login.
- The Ministry of Education, New Delhi will sanction the scholarship amount and send the list to the SBI, New Delhi for disbursement of scholarship through Aadhaar Based Payment System.
Information can be obtained from the concerned School Head Master/ District Educational Officer. The application forms should be uploaded online in the website "www.bse.ap.gov.in". Before filling the application form, the headmaster should go through the guidelines given in the website www.bseap.org. The information shall be available in www.bseap.org website also.
