In continuation of the circulars 2nd and 3rd read above, certain guidelines are now issued for purchase of following brands of steel.
- VIZAG Steel
- SAIL (EQR) Steel
- TATA Steel
- JSPL (Panthor) Steel
- JSW (Neo) Steel
Therefore the Districts are instructed to go through the “steeloncall” website, check the rates of the above companies, compare them with local market prices of the same companies, apply the discount offered by the site to get best price and purchase the required steel through the Parent’s committee duly following the prescribed procedure. While purchasing please observe the length of each bar, unit weight of 1 meter length, total no of bars and total weight given physically and the billed weight. The guidelines for purchase of local materials shall be strictly followed. The rates mentioned above are indicative prices and are valid till end of July
Hence all the District Collectors are requested to monitor and ensure that the above guidelines are followed and quality is ensured in taking up Nadu-Nedu works.
