Read the following:


1. The Andhra Pradesh Education (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022 (Ordinance No.13 of 2022).

2. The Andhra Pradesh Education (Amendment) Act, 2023 (Act No.21 of 2023).


ORDER:


The Section-78 A of A.P. Education Act, 1982 has been amended through the reference 1st read above. Accordingly, the age for superannuation of teaching and non-teaching staff working in aided private Educational institutions has been raised from 60 years to 62 years. The Andhra Pradesh Ordinance No.13 of 2022 comes into force from the date of publication in the Gazette i.e from 29th November, 2022. Subsequently, the said Ordinance has been repealed by an enactment through the reference 2nd read above. As per proviso incorporated through above amendment, the interregnum period from the 1st January to the date of publication of the Andhra Pradesh Education (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022 should be treated in such manner, as may be prescribed.


Accordingly, Government, after careful examination of the matter, have decided and hereby order to treat the interregnum period from 01.01.2022 to 29.11.2022 as leave to which employee is eligible, and in case no leave is due, the period be treated as Extra-Ordinary Leave.


The Commissioner of School Education, the Commissioner of Intermediate Education and the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, shall take further necessary accordingly, in the matter.


This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (HR.IV-FR&LR) Department, vide their U.O. No. Finance U.O.No: FINO1-HR/86/2022-HR- IV (Computer No:1713395), dated.04.04.2023
