The National Education Policy 2020 has given much importance to foundational learning and recommends play-based, activity-based, experiential-based learning with continuous incorporation of the latest research in primary education. A dire need has arised for high-quality and developmentally appropriate class room transaction to recover huge learning loss that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic and to achieve foundational learning.
In this context, SCERT, AP is conducting an evidence-based math programme that can be integrated into regular school curriculum in foundational schools to improve foundational learning of young children in Andhra Pradesh.
For this primary teachers dealing class 1 maths in foundational schools have been identified from NTR, Eluru, Palnadu, Prakasam and Guntur districts for the pilot study.
The District Educational Officers of NTR, Eluru, Palnadu, Prakasam and Guntur Districts are requested to depute teachers in the list of foundational schools annexed to this proceeding.
It is also requested to disseminate the list of schools to MEOs concerned and ensure alternate arrangements are made to single teacher schools in the list.
All the teachers are requested to report on 21-02-2023 by 9.30 AM at SCERT, AP, Mahanadu Road, Vijayawada without fail.
TA, DA will be given as per CCA norms.
