All Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state are aware that in the reference 1st read above certain orders have been issued to conduct assessments for all classes in all managements across the state using common question papers from the academic year 2021–22.
In this connection, a writ petition was fled in the Honorable High court of Andhra Pradesh, challenging the collection of exam fees in respect of classes 1 to 5 from private schools. The Hon’ble High Court passed the following orders.
‘Not to insist for payment of examination fees for question papers from 1st to 5th Classes from the private schools, until further orders. At the same time, the Managements of private schools are also directed not to collect the said fees from the students.'
Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the State are hereby directed to follow the said orders passed by the Hon’ble High Court and to issue necessary instructions to the private school managements in their jurisdiction to conduct the assessments from classes 1 to 5 at their level duly following the syllabus prescribed by SCERT and not to collect any fees from the students in the name of examinations.
The above directions shall be given wide publicity to ensure strict compliance.
