All the regional Joint directors of school education and district educational officers in the state are aware that wide GO.Ms No. 162 cited In the reference 1, Government has constituted District Carman Examination Boards (DCEBs) to maintain uniform procedure In syllabus coverage and standards of academic attainments in the schools in the concerned districts.
The DCEBs were constituted in every District under the Chairmanship of the District Educational Officers and eight Headmasters, representing various managements of schools from the district. were identified as nominated members for a term of three years. One among the eight Head Mater was nominated as secretary.
The DCEBs are playing a key role in training and monitoring the academic activities in the districts. The secretaries of DCEBs, are looking after the National Achievement survey, State Level Achievement Survey related works, conduct of assessments, Implementing the remedial plan to improve learning outcomes, preparing minimum study material to x class students printing of question papers, and all other academic related trainings / meetings / activities In the district' level as entrusted by the district Educational Officers concerned.
All the regional Joint directors of school education and district educational officers in the state are also aware that Government have reorganized the existing 13 districts into 26 districts tor better administration. They are also aware that till date erstwhile 11E85 of 13 'districts are serving the needs of newly formed districts.
There fore, it is decided to establish 13 new DCEBs in the newly created 13 districts to ensure smooth conduct of all exams and discharge of all functions of the DCEBs. Hence all the DEOs of newly created districts are allowed to form new DCEBs.
It Is also permitted for the DEOs in places where existing DCEBs are in operation to appoint the secretary and members from the jurisdiction of re-organized districts wherever necessary.
