Attention invited to the reference cited with its enclosures. It is to inform that the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti is tasked with the effective management of water resources in the country. To encourage all stakeholders, including civil society organizations, gram panchayats, urban local bodies, corporate sector and individuals working in this sector, DoWR, RD & GR has been organizing the National Water Awards (NWAs) since 2018.
In continuation of these efforts, entries are now being invited for the 4th National Water Awards. These awards are intended to encourage and felicitate individuals and organizations who have adopted and demonstrated innovative practices to augment ground water, rainwater harvesting, recycling of water and other steps to ensure creation of a culture of exemplary water resources management in India.
In this regard, I request you to submit nominations along with detailed note duly covering the criteria points supported with photographs and media clippings under "Best School" as per the criteria mentioned in the notification on or before by 09th September 2022, to this department through email: wrdgeneral1@gmail.com so as enable this department to upload the same in the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (www.awards.gov.in).
All the Regional Joint Directors, District Educational Officers and Additional Project Co-Ordinator's in the State are requested to submit One Best School from each District duly following the criteria points (Enclosed) supported with photographs and media clippings on or before 13.09.2022 by 11 AM.
