ORDER:-
Government have taken a decision to introduce the "Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on the Computers" as an alternative and equivalent qualification to the present Telugu Typewriting Test keeping in view of the replacement of manual typewriters by computers and overall digitalisation of governance. In the G.O. fourth read above, orders have been issued prescribing the syllabus and pattern of examination for the Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers. The State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET) shall conduct the examinations twice a year. In the said G.O. General Administration (Services) Department have been requested to take further necessary action accordingly.
The Government after careful examination of the matter have decided and hereby direct that the Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers to be conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh shall be as an alternative and equivalent qualification to the present Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu.
Accordingly, the following notification will be published in the Ex-ordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, Dated:07.09.2022:-
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Ministerial Service Rules, 1998 issued in G.O.Ms.No.261, General Administration (Ser.B) Department, dated the 14th July, 1998 and published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette Part. I, Extraordinary, dated the 29th October, 1998 and as subsequently amended from time to time:-
AMENDMENTS
In the said rules;
- In the Annexure-I to rule-6 (1),
i. against the Category 4 "Assistant-cum-Typist in the offices of Heads of Departments/Directorates" for existing entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu on a Government Standard keyboard.
or
"Must have passed the Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh".
ii. against the Category 4 "Assistant-cum-Typist in the sub-offices other than offices of Heads of Departments/ Directorates" for existing entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu on Government Standard keyboard.
or
"Must have passed the Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh".
iii. against the Category 2 "Senior Stenographer (English or Telugu)" under Class-B, for entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Shorthand and Typewriting by Higher Grade in the concerned Language conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh Government or any other equivalent qualification."
or
"Must have passed the Government Technical Examinations in Shorthand and Typewriting in Higher Grade in English conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh Government and for Telugu Language, must have passed the Government Technical Examinations in Typewriting in Higher Grade in Telugu conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh Government or must have passed Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh Government and also must have passed the Government Technical Examinations in Shorthand by Higher Grade in Telugu or any other equivalent qualification".
iv. against the Category 3 "Junior Stenographer in the Offices of Heads of Departments and Directorates (Telugu or English)" under Class-B, for entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in the relevant language."
or
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in English conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh Government and for Telugu Language, must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh Government or must have passed Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh".
v. against the Category 3 "Junior Stenographer in the Offices other than Heads of Departments and Directorates (Telugu) or (English)" under Class-B for entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in the relevant language" and
or
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in English conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh Government and for Telugu Language, must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu or must have passed Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh" and
vi. Under Class-B against the Category 3, Sl.Nos.3 and 4 "U.D. Typist (Telugu) and U.D. Typist (English)" in the offices of the Heads of Departments and Directorates for entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely: -
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by Higher Grade in the language concerned conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of the Andhra Pradesh Government or any other equivalent qualification"
or
"Must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by Higher Grade in English conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of the Andhra Pradesh Government. For Telugu Language, must have passed the Government Technical examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of the Andhra Pradesh Government or must have passed Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or any other equivalent qualification."
vii. under Class-B, against the Category 4 "Typist in the Offices of Heads of Departments and Directorates" for entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu on a Government Standard Key Board".
or
"Must have passed the Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh".
viii. under Class-B, against the Category 4 "Typists in Telugu/English in the Offices other than Heads of Departments and Directorates" for entry (ii) in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu/English on Government Standard Key Board.
or
"For Telugu Language, must have passed the Proficiency Test in Telugu Typing based on Computers conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh".
