With reference to the subject cited, DGE wish to inform you that, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), Gandhinagar, which is an Autonomous body of the DST are jointly implementing the "INSPIRE Awards - MANAK Scheme (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) every year.
Further, the National Innovation Foundation has requested the undersigned vide Lr. 1st cited to extend cooperation for the ongoing season of the annual INSPIRE Awards - MANAK Scheme 2022-23 for mobilizing the ideas and innovations from the state of Andhra Pradesh. Some of the important highlights of the scheme are mentioned briefly for information
1) Students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in Classes 6 to 10 should submit their ideas to their schools, which in turn should shortlist and submit the top 5 ideas through the e-MIAS Portal www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in in any Indian Language
2) The best One Lakh ideas/ innovations will receive Rs. 10,000/- each and will get a chance to participate in the District Level Competition
3) 10% of Students will be shortlisted further to participate in State Level Competition.
4) Up to 1000 Students will be mentored in different technological institutions to showcase their innovations at National Level; and
5) Finally, Sixty (60) innovative projects will be incubated completely (parent filing, value addition in technology and product development, etc.) by NIF and will be displayed at the annual festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (FINE).
Further, the Online nominations for the year 2022-23 will remain open till 30-09-2022, The Scheme is aligned with the Action Plan for the "Start-up India" initiative and can greatly benefit the students from our state by showcasing their talent on a National Platform. Participating in initiatives such as these will stimulate the thinking of the students and this can create awareness about the Innovation and Entrepreneurship culture in the country and the students can get an opportunity to get exposed to entrepreneurship culture at the early stage of their lives.
In this regard, all the Head Masters / Principals / Correspondents of all the High Schools in the State of Andhra Pradesh are requested to ensure that:
2) Help the Students in finding their subject of interest and their strengths.
3) Mobilize n maximum number of original ideas/ innovations from the students in the subject/ field of their choice.
4) Submit the ideas in the mentioned portal before 30-09-2022, so that the maximum number of students can get benefit from this scheme.
5) Extend maximum cooperation and handhold the students in this process till the final stage to ensure that students from the State of Andhra Pradesh excel in this competition.
This shall be treated as a Priority in the larger interest of the Student community of the State.
