Andhra Pradesh Research Common Entrance Test 2022 APRCET-2022 for admission into Ph.D. Programmes (Both Full-time and Part-time) offered by various Universities, Research Centres and Affiliated Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh for the year 2022 will be conducted from 16-10-2022 to 19-10-2022.
The eligible candidates are informed to submit their applications through online mode only from 01-09-2022 by paying the application registration and processing fee through AP Online Payment gateway (Credit Card/Debit Card and Net Banking). The detailed information regarding eligibility, syllabus, Mock test, fee related instructions and procedure for Online Submission of Applications are available on the website https://sche.ap.gov.in/rcet.
- On behalf of the APSCHE, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission into Ph.D. programme (Full-Time / Part-Time) offered by various universities and recognized research centres in the state of Andhra Pradesh in the subject areas indicated in Annexure-I through Andhra Pradesh Research Common Entrance Test APRCET-2022, for the academic year 2022.
- Candidates are advised to go through the Information Brochure carefully and apply for admission under appropriate category of reservation by ticking in the relevant box in the application form. Requests for inclusion or change of reservation category once claimed will not be entertained under any circumstances. The final admission will be subjected to the availability of the vacancies and validity of the information submitted by the candidate.
- APRCET-2022 is a computer-based test. The test shall be in multiple choice questions. Each question carries one mark. There shall not be any negative marks. The test will be conducted for two categories of candidates.
Category-I : Candidates with PG in respective subject and qualified in UGCNET(Including JRF) / UGC-CSIR-NET(Including JRF) / SLET / GATE (with valid score) / GPAT (with valid score) / and FDP / Teacher Fellowship holders or who have passed M.Phil Programme. Category-I candidates have to write only Section-A (Research Methodology for 70 marks) of APRCET-2022.
Category-II : Candidates with PG in respective subject and not covered in Category-I will be considered under this category. Category-II candidates have to write Section-A (Research Methodology for 70 marks) and Section-B (respective subject for 70 Marks) of the APRCET-2022.
c To qualify for interview, candidates belong to Category-1 and Category-II should have to secure minimum 50% marks for OC candidates and 45% marks for BC/SC/ST/PWD in APRCET-2022.
d After qualifying in APRCET-2022 for interview, candidate have to attend an
interview for (i) Category –1:30 marks and (ii) Category-II : 60 marks.
e Rank in APRCET will be based on the total marks obtained by candidate in the written test and interview.
- In APRCET-2022, Part-A for all the subjects including languages is in English only and the Part B of the subjects except languages are in English. For Languages, Part B is in the respective language.
- The P.G. Degrees of all the UGC recognized Universities in India will be treated as equivalent to P.G. Degrees of all Universities of A.P. However, PG Degrees obtained through distance mode from Universities recognized by DEC only will be considered.
- Candidates who are waiting for the final semester / Year result of the qualifying degree can also apply for APRCET-2022. But such candidates shall be considered for admission only if they submit PG degree certificate at the time of interview.
- Mere appearance at the APRCET-2022 and attending interview by a candidate, does not confer any right of admission into Ph.D. programme. The candidate has to fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down in the relevant GO at the time of admission.
- The vacancy position of the seats in various universities and its research centres/ affiliated colleges is available in the APRCET-2022 web portal. However, Eligibility criterion for admission into various Ph.D. programmes will vary from university to university.
- The universities reserve the right to fill or not to fill the seats announced for any subject /
- Payments made towards registration fee/Late fee/Processing fee are non-refundable.
- Candidates admitted into Ph.D. programme by furnishing false information are liable for prosecution and cancellation of seats without any prior notice. The decision of the respective University is final.
- The test will be conducted in 13 centres across the state of Andhra Pradesh and one centre in Hyderabad.

- The candidate can apply for at most two subjects only in the APRCET-2022. Application fee per subject per candidate is Rs. 1500/- for OC, Rs.1300/- for BC and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/PWD. No correction in the subject(s) will be permitted after submitting the
- Part-Time candidates have to upload their service certificate(s) in support of their claim.
- There is no age limit.
- Any dispute pertaining to APRCET-2022 shall be within the Jurisdiction of High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati only.
- Applications should be submitted through online only.
- For online submission, visit the website: https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/rcet.
- Candidate has to pay Rs. 1500/- for OC, Rs. 1300/- for BC and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/PWD per subject. Bank Charges are extra.
- After filling the online Application form with all the required details, verify all the details carefully and press ‘Submit’ button. After submitting the online application form, take the print out of filled in ‘Online Application Form’. Use the application number printed on the online application form for all future correspondences.
