All the District Educational Officers in the State are informed that the Government with a vision to provide adequate, balanced, tasty and quality nutritional support to the students in a professional and scientific way under better and hygienic surroundings through constant& continuous monitoring in order to avoid classroom hunger & malnutrition and thereby, to achieve the ultimate objectives of best learning outcomes of the students, have introduced the cooked Mid Day Meal Programme in all Government, Local body and Government Aided Primary Schools.


The District Education Officers are further informed that, radical changes are made in the menu being provided to the students by adding additional Nutritious items by providing day wise variety menu from January, 2020 apart from providing Peanut Jaggery chikki for three days and Eggs for five days in a week, as additional nutrition to the students. Scheme, For effective implementation of the programme a detailed Standard Operating Procedures Training to all the stake holders is an important component in the scheme of Midday Meals


(SOP) is printed and distributed earlier. In order to refresh and equip the Cook-Cum-Helpers and all others connected officials with the Midday meals scheme, Training will be imparted by expert trainers on the subjects of hygienic handling of storage of material, preparation and cooking, prevention of loss of nutritional values prior to /during/and after cooking, palatable preparation, cleanliness in kitchen and cooking area, safe handling and disposal of waste, and personal hygiene etc.,


All the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to identify four (4) active/energetic Cook-cum-Helpers, one (1) Mandal Educational Officer and Assistant Director (Schemes) from the district and furnish the names along with the school name and mandal immediately.  These identified individuals will act as Master Trainers (ToTs) for conducting further trainings to all other Cook-cum Helpers in the districts. 


The training programme is scheduled on 21 and 22nd June, 2022 (Tuesday and Wednesday) at Hotel Manorama, M.G. Road, Governorpeta, Vijayawada. The training will be from 10-30 AM to 6-00 P.M. On both the days. Necessary accommodation and T.A as per rules will be provided to the participants.


Therefore, all the District Education Officers are requested to attend the Training Programme on Midday Meals, along with the Assistant Director (Schemes), one (1) Mandal Educational Officer and four (4) Cook-cum-Helpers on 21 and 22 June, 2022 (Tuesday and Wednesday) at Vijayawada without fail.
