At present (28) Ekalavya Model Residential Schools are functioning across the state of Andhra Pradesh under the control of Gurukulam.
Now, the Gurukulam has decided to take up state level admissions from class 6th and backlog vacancies for 7th ,8th and 9th classes into (28) EMR Schools through written test on merit basis.
Based on the reference 1st cited, Gurukulam has issued operational guidelines for effective functioning of EMR Schools vide ref.2nd cited which includes reservation pattern and allocation of seats in EMR Schools entry point classes.
Vide ref.3rd and 4th cited, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI, New Delhi have communicated the draft admission guidelines for the year 2022-23. Based on the draft admission guidelines, the following is the reservation criteria should be maintained in all EMR Schools across the Country.

ఏకలవ్య మోడల్ గురుకుల విద్యాలయాలలో 2022-23 విద్యా సంవత్సరంలో ప్రవేశం కొరకు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకొనే విద్యార్థులకు ప్రాధమిక సమాచారం
1. 2022-23 విద్యా సంవత్సరానికిగాను ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో గురుకులం ఆధ్వర్యంలో నడుపబడుతున్న (28) ఏకలవ్య మోడల్ గురుకుల విద్యాలయాలలో 6వ తరగతిలో గల 60 సీట్లను మరియు 7వ, 8వ, 9వ తరగతులలో గల మిగిలిన ఖాళీలను నింపడానికి అర్హులైన విద్యార్థిని విద్యార్థుల నుండి ఆన్లైన్ ద్వార దరఖాస్తులు కోరబడుతున్నవి. ఈ సీట్లు అన్ని వ్రాత పరీక్ష నందు పొందిన మార్కుల మెరిట్ ఆధారంగా,
2. రిజర్వేషన్ ప్రకారం ప్రవేశములు కల్పించడం జరుగుతుంది.
5. విద్యార్థుల వయస్సు తరగతివారిగా 31-03-2022 నాటికి ఈ దిగువ పేర్కొన్న విధంగా ఉండవలెను.
6వ తరగతి - 10 సంవత్సరాలు నిండి 13 సంవత్సరాల లోపు ఉండవలెను
7వ తరగతి - 11 సంవత్సరాలు నిండి 14 సంవత్సరాల లోపు ఉండవలెను
8వ తరగతి - 12 సంవత్సరాలు నిండి 15 సంవత్సరాల లోపు ఉండవలెను
9వ తరగతి - 13 సంవత్సరాలు నిండి 16 సంవత్సరాల లోపు ఉండవలెను
10వ తరగతి - 14 సంవత్సరాలు నిండి 17 సంవత్సరాల లోపు ఉండవలెను
6. 6వ తరగతిలో ప్రవేశం కోరుకొనే బాల బాలికలు 2021-22 విద్య సంవత్సరంలో 5వ తరగతి ఏదైనా ప్రభుత్వ లేదా ప్రభుత్వ గుర్తింపు పొందిన స్కూలులో చదివి ఉండాలి లేదా విద్య హక్కు చట్టం 2009 నందు సెక్షన్ 4 ప్రకారం విద్యార్థి ఇంటివద్దనే 5వ తరగతి చదివిన వారు కూడా అర్హులు. ఐతే విద్యార్థి యొక్క తల్లిదండ్రులు / సంరక్షకుడు డిక్లరేషన్ ఇవ్వవలసి ఉంటుంది.
7. ఈ ఏకలవ్య గురుకుల విద్యాలయాలలో విద్యా బోధనా అంతా ఇంగ్లీష్మీ డియంలో మరియు సి.బి.ఎస్.ఇ సిలబస్ లో ఉంటుంది.
8. తెలుగు మీడియం లో చదివిన విద్యార్థులు కూడా వ్రాత పరీక్షకు అర్హులు.
9. విద్యార్థికి సంబంధించిన జిల్లాలో ఈ ఏకలవ్య గురుకుల విద్యాలయం లేకపోయినా సమీపంలో గల ఏకలవ్య గురుకుల విద్యాలయంలో చదవడానికి దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చును. ఐతే ప్రతి ఏకలవ్య గురుకుల విద్యాలయం నందు గల సీట్లలో 30 శాతం సీట్లు మెరిట్ ఆధారంగా స్థానిక జిల్లా, తాలుకా, మండలం వారికి మెరిట్ ఆధారంగా ఇవ్వబడతాయి.
10. 6వ తరగతిలో గల మొత్తం 60 సీట్లలో (51) సీట్లు గిరిజన బాల బాలికలకు, (3) సీట్లు ఆదివాసి గిరిజనులకు కేటాయించబడినాయి.
11. మిగిలిన (6) సీట్లు డి. నోటిఫైడ్ ట్రైబ్ / సంచార గిరిజనులకు పాక్షిక సంచార గిరిజనులకు, తీవ్రవాదుల దాడులలో తల్లిదండ్రులను కోల్పోయిన విద్యార్థులకు, కోవిడ్ వలన తల్లిదండ్రులని కోల్పోయిన విద్యార్థులకు, తండ్రిని కోల్పోయి కేవలం తల్లి సంరక్షణలో గల విద్యార్థులకు, అనాధ విద్యార్థులకు, విద్యాలయానికి భూమి ఉచితంగా ఇచ్చిన దాతల పిల్లలకు కేటాయించబడ్డాయి. ఇవి కూడా వ్రాత పరీక్షలో సాధించిన మెరిట్ ఆధారంగా భర్తీ చేస్తారు. ఈసీట్లకు గిరిజన విద్యార్థులే కాకుండా అందరు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చును.
12. విద్యార్థులు ఆన్లైన్ లో దరఖాస్తులు సమర్పించినప్పుడు ఈ దిగువ పేర్కొన్న ధృవీకరణ పత్రాలను తీసుకురావలెను.
(అ) విద్యార్థి మరియు తల్లిదండ్రుల ఆధార్ కార్డు, (ఆ) కుల ధృవీకరణ పత్రం, (ఇ) నివాసస్థల ధృవీకరణ పత్రం, (ఈ ) రేషన్ కార్డ్, (ఉ) దివ్యాంగులైన విద్యార్థులు సంబంధిత ధృవీకరణ పత్రం (ఊ) పైన 11వ పాయింట్ నందు చెప్పిన కేటగిరీలకు చెందిన విద్యార్థులు సంబంధిత ధృవీకరణ పత్రాలు, (ఎ) స్టడీ సర్టిఫికేట్, (ఏ) పుట్టిన తేది ధృవీకరణ పత్రం, (ఐ) జాతీయ, రాష్ట్ర స్థాయి క్రీడలలో పాల్గొన్న ధృవీకరణ పత్రం (తప్పనిసరి కాదు). (ఒ) పాస్ పోర్ట్ సైజు ఫోటోలు 2.
13. విద్యార్థులు ఆన్లైన్ లో దరఖాస్తులు సమర్పించినప్పుడు క్రమంలో ఏ ప్రాధాన్యతా ఏకలవ్య మోడల్ గురుకుల విద్యాలయంలో చేరదలచుకున్నారో నింప వలసి ఉంటుంది. ప్రాధాన్యతా క్రమాన్ని బట్టి మరియు వ్రాత పరీక్షలో పొందిన మార్కుల ఆధారంగా మాత్రమే ప్రవేశం కల్పించబడుతుంది.
14. వ్రాత పరీక్ష 6వ తరగతికి 100 మార్కులకు, 7వ, 8వ, 9వ తరగతులకు 200 మార్కులకు తెలుగు మరియు ఇంగ్లీష్ మీడియంలో ఉంటుంది.
15. వ్రాత పరీక్ష తేది: 21.05.2022 ఉదయం: 10.30 నుండి
16. విద్యార్థులు ఆన్లైన్లో దరఖాస్తులు సమర్పించిన తరువాత ఒక రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ ఫారం నింపవలసి ఉంటుంది. ఆ రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ ఫారం నింపిన తరువాత, పైన పేర్కొన్న ధృవీకరణ పత్రాలు జతచేసి, పాస్ పోర్ట్ సైజు ఫోటో అతికించి సమీపంలో గల ఏదైనా గిరిజన సంక్షేమ గురుకుల సంబంధిత వారికి అందచేసి రసీదు పొందవలెను.
17. 7వ, 8వ, 9వ తరగతులలో గల మిగిలిన ఖాళీలలో ప్రవేశం కొరకు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకునే విద్యార్థులు కూడా పైన తెలిపిన ధృవీకరణ పత్రాలు మరియు రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ ఫారం జతచేసి సమీపంలో గల ఏదైనా గిరిజన సంక్షేమ గురుకుల విద్యాలయంలో సంబంధిత ప్రిన్సిపాల్ వారికి అందచేసి రసీదు పొందవలెను.
Admission Eligibility: A candidate appearing for the selection test for admission in Class VI for the session 2022-23 should be studying or has studied in Class-V in the academic session 2021-22 or 2020-21 in a Government / Govt. Aided / State Recognized Schools / Level B of NIOS OBE Programme / CBSE affiliated schools of the state where he/she is seeking admission (in EMRSs). A School will be deemed recognized if it is declared so by the Govt. or by any other agency authorized on behalf of Govt., (or) A candidate who has not attended any school but studied at home is also eligible to apply for admission in Class VI (As per section 4 of Chapter-II of RTE Act 2009). Admission selection procedure: Admission to EMRS shall be done on the basis of Selection Test. Admission to class VI shall be made strictly on the basis of an entrance test called Eklavya Model Residential Schools Selection Test (EMRSST). The candidates desirous to get admission in EMRSs have to appear and qualify EMRSST.
Reservations in Admission: In accordance with EMRS Guidelines November 2020 (10%) seats i.e., (6) seats are allocated to Non-ST students. However, as per the draft admission guidelines communicated by NESTS, it was stated that, in accordance with EMRS Guidelines Nov., 2020 and MoTA Lr. No.F.No. 11011/02/2019-EMRS/PVTG dated 30.03.2022, the below mentioned reservation criteria shall be followed for granting admissions in Class VI.

- The Children of Staff of EMRSs/ EMDBSs/ CoE for Sports should be given admission over and above the prescribed strength of 30 students per section per Class. The Principal is authorized to admit the children of staff in the respective EMRSs / EMDBSs / COE for Sports where the parent is working. It is clarified that, the children of Staff of EMRS/
EMDBS/COE for Sports shall not be a part of EMRS Scheme and no financial implications in respect of these children shall be borne out of the fund released by NESTS / MoTA. - 3% of total available seats for admission will be horizontally reserved
for Differently Abled-Children as per the provisions of RTE Act, 2009. - Transgender category students shall not be denied admission subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
- For point No.3 in the above table: The proposed consolidated quota of reservation is 10% and no individual quota is allocated to any category mentioned therein. The State / UT EMRSs Societies may be allowed to decide upon the percentage and priority of individual quota of the categories mentioned therein depending upon local situations and circumstances.
- If, a child belongs to more than one reservation category then he/she shall be allowed to avail the benefit of only one reservation category with the highest reservation percentage.
Eligibility of students for admission into EMRSs across the state:
In the draft admission guidelines, the NESTS have proposed that, the seats should be open to all ST children of the state who no specific reservation quota for the ST resident of Block / Taluka / Tehsil / District in which EMRS is situated. Notwithstanding, the State / UT EMRS Societies may exercise their privilege to fix specific quota, not exceeding 30% for the ST candidates belonging to block / taluka / tehsil / district in which the EMRS is situated.
It is clarified that the candidates belonging to the reservation categories as mentioned in the table across the state are eligible to apply for admission in any of EMRS irrespective of the fact that whether an EMRS is running in their block / Taluka / Tehsil / District of residence or not.
Accordingly, (18) seats are compulsorily filled with the students belong to the districts where EMR Schools situated. The remaining seats may be filled as per the reservation criteria and as per the choice of the students as a state quota based on the merit only.
The annual Income of the parent shall not exceed Rs.1,00,000/- for admission into any Residential Schools. (Need not produce income certificate in case of white ration card holders as per GO. MS No: 229 Dated 23-06-2017)
Submission of application form:
All the eligible students shall submit the filled applications through online aptwgurukulam.ap.gov.in. or approach the nearby Gurukulam institutions with all details to fill the application and handover it to the principal. The Principals in turn shall upload the application through online.
