INSPIRE-MANAK awardees Artificial Intelligence (AI) Readiness Programme Building AI Readiness among young Innovator for MANAK awardees of 2020-21 and 2021-22.

The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors and District Educational Officers in the state are invited to the reference read above (copy enclosed) wherein Scientist G & Head (INSPIRE MANAK), Government of India, Ministry Of Science and Technology, Technology Bhavan, New Mehrauli Road, New Delhi-110016 has informed that INSPIRE-MANAK-DST and Intel Technology India Private limited have come to implement a collaborative program under the name "Building AI Readiness among young Innovator" for MANAK awardees of 2020-21 and 2021-22.

The aim of the program is to empower the current and future workforce to become ‘AI ready’ and help reduce the AI skill gap. This program will immensely benefit the INSPIRE awardees by enhancing their knowledge base about a very important upcoming technology will provide a platform to showcase their understanding of AI through ideation.

Under this unique program, DST and INTEL will facilitate following. Brochure, Flyer and Banner containing details of the program are enclosed/attached herewith.

(a) Organize AI readiness sessions for Inspire Awardees covering the Basics of AI and its applications, Machine learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks etc.

(b) Provide a co-branded certificate and an idea submission form to students who complete the live sessions.

(c) Receive entries from students for creating an AI-enabled social-impact solution idea in the idea submission form.

(d) Select 200 top ideas from the received entries.

(e) Organize a 4- week boot camp for top 200 students- 2 week hands –on sessions and 2 weeks in a virtual showcase and announce top 20 projects as winners.

(f) Showcase AI led social impact indigenous solutions created by students in a virtual showcase and announce top 20 projects as winners.

(g) Provide opportunity to winners to showcase at INTEL LED NATIONAL PLATFORMS.

The program was officially launched on 28th of February, 2022. INSPIRE awardees can register themselves for this program through a web portal, details of which are provided in the brochure and it is also requested to disseminate the details of this program with all the schools and students to register for this important program and could learn about Artificial Intelligence.

  • Enable youth to create meaningful social impact solutions as evidence of achievement.

  • Click on ‘Register’ button on the top right side of the web portal.
  •  Upon clicking it will be directed to the student Registration form
  • Please fill up the required details
  • Once you’re done, click on ‘Submit’ to complete the registration.

The Program Overview:

PHASE 1

  • Orientation sessions over.
  • Student to register on the web portal
  • Live student orientation sessions to be held for registered students around core AI concepts by experts, including an ideation process.
  • Conducting two live, virtual sessions of 2 hours each
  • Awarding Certificate of Participation to students completing
  • orientation sessions
  • Submission of ideas through a 120 second video explaining a proposed AI enabled solution by students
  •  Evaluation by an independent committee of experts to shortlist top 200 for phase 2

PHASE 2

  • Shortlisted students will attend deep dive AI training
  • A four-week boot camp will be organized which will include 2 weeks of hands-on training and 2- weeks of one-on-one mentoring sessions with INTEL AI for youth coaches.
  • Students will develop AI-enabled innovations and submit final entries
  • Top 50 projects to get shortlisted post evaluation by an expert jury.

PHASE 3

  • Students representing the top projects to be announced as winners
  • Winners showcase their exemplary work at national/international platform.
Building AI Readiness among young Innovator for MANAK awardees

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and all the District Educational Officers in the state are requested to encourage each and every school to participate in the programme and issue necessary instructions to Dy.E.Os / DSOs/ HMs in their jurisdiction to ensure to participate in large numbers and become a part of India's innovation journey and also submit report.
