The attention of all the District Educational Ofcers in the State is invited to the reference cited, and they are informed that in pursuance of the provisions contained in the chapters 4 and 22 of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, which, inter-alia, emphasizes on multilingualism and the promotion of Indian languages, art and culture, respectively, the National Book Trust of India (NBT) has brought out a set of 17 titles of their best-selling titles in bilingual format (Hindi-English) for the age group of 6-12 years. The first set has been released by the Hon'ble Minister of Education on the 5th March, 2021.

Therefore all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers and Principals of IASEs/CTEs/Govt. DIETs in the state are requested to give clear instructions in their respective districts to create awareness among the Bilingual Books Project of National Book Trust of India ( NBT).
