ORDER:
In the reference 1st read above, the Director of School Education, AP. has submitted a detailed report, informing that “Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT)” Project, will support the transformation of Government Schools in Andhra Pradesh into vibrant and competitive institutions, through Nadu Nedu (infrastructural facelift), curriculum reforms, improved classroom practices, teacher professional development, strong focus on early years and introducing English as a means to preparing students to be globally competitive and to prepare them to meet the demands of the transforming nature of the future of work. Strengthening decentralized educational management for improved service delivery will be a focus. The DSE, has therefore, requested to accord administrative approval to enter into SALT Project with the loan assistance of USD 250 million, from the World Bank.
In the circumstances reported by the DSE, in the reference 1st read above, Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord administrative approval to enter into “Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT)” Project with the loan assistance of USD 250 million from the World Bank for supporting various initiatives in School Education i.e, Nadu- Nedu (Infrastructural facelift), Curriculum Reforms, improved Classroom Practices, Teacher Professional Development, Prepare the students to be globally competitive by introducing the English medium via Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) Operation, subject to condition that the Department shall avoid increase in the recurring HR expenditure by keeping the additional recruitment, if any, to bare minimum.
3. The Director of School Education, AP and the State Project Director, APSS shall take further necessary action accordingly in the matter.
4. This orders issues with the concurrence of the Finance (PMU-EAP) Department vide U.O.No.FIN01-PMU0EAP(APP)/9/2021-EAP (Computer No.1377231), dt.21.4.2021.
