AP Samagra Shiksha- Enrollment Decline in CwSN in the State - Comparison of CwSN data with child information during the year 2019-20 - Obtain information through HMs and Teachers of all schools from 22-6-2020 on wards Memo No : SSA-23021/56/2019-IED-SS , Dated : 23/06/2020

The attention of all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are informed that, during discussions in PAB on 9th June, 2020 regarding the enrollment decline in Children with Special Needs in State of Andhra Pradesh and the difference in decline during 2018-19 and 2019-20 child information was 11398 and it is observed that decline of CwSN is high in East Godavari district ( 1929) whereas its low in Nellore district (330) and It is clear that enrolment of CwSN is increased in Ananthpuram District (114) during 2019-20 compared to 2018-19 in Elementary to Senior Secondary Level.
Further all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are also informed that, It is observed that during 2018-19 child info and 2019-20 Child info the decline of CwSN was 7521 in elementary level and It is observed that decline of CwSN is high in East Godavari district (1408) whereas its low in Nellore district (166) and It is clear that enrolment of CwSN is increased in Ananthpuram District (140) during 2019-
20 compared to 2018-19.
Further, it is also observed that the decline of CwSN was 4077 in secondary to senior secondary level is high in Kurnool district (1039) and decline of CwSN low in Ananthapuram district (26).
Further all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are requested to explain the reasons for decline in CwSN enrolment as per the observation of RPs, HM/Teachers enrolled CwSN names in as normal students without indicating their disability. Majority of HMs are avoiding enrolling CwSN in their schools as compared to child information.
Therefore all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are requested to obtain information through HMs and Teachers of all schools in the State from 30-6-2020 furnish information for taking further necessary action in the matter.
The IE coordinators and Assistant IE Coordinators of Samagra shall personally verify and ensure that the details of all the CwSN are entered in the UDISE+. They shall further obtain the data of Kanti Velugu and ensure that the details of those children identified as visually impaired are also incorporated in the UDISE+ data.
