In pursuance of the instructions in the reference read above, all the District Project Officers, SSA and all the District Educational Officers in the state are informed that, the Andhra Pradesh will be run Readers Clubs in coordination with National centre for Children's Literature (NCCL) ( wing of National Book Trust, India) to promote the habit of reading skills among the students in all Government and Govt Aided Primary and Upper Primary Schools from the academic year, 2019-2020.
And further informed that, the National Center for Children's literate (NCCL) is provides assistance to teachers, librarians, editors, writers and illustrators by arranging creative workshops across the country especially in rural areas for providing reading habit among children, NCCL may set up Readers club in the schools covered under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan as a separate entity. A bilingual quarterly magazine reader's club bulletin is also published to foster the moment and sent to these Readers Clubs. Children and teachers are also encouraged to contribute to it. From time to time reading promotional activities are organized with their participations. NCCL may send e- copies of this colourful and attractive reader's club bulletin free of coat to schools enrolled as reader's club as part of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan reader's club movement. In this context, all the District Project Officers, SSA and all the District Educational Officers in the state are further Informed that to give suitable instructions to all the Principals and Head Masters to set up Readers Club in every school and fill up electronic forms and guidelines attached along with these proceedings.
