           The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education / District Educational Officers / Principals of lASEs, CTEs and DIETs in the State, is invited to the reference 1sl read above (copy enclosed), wherein Govt. has stated that Mrs Rachel Chatterjee, Former Spl.C.S., & Chairman, ICRS, A.P., has informed that Indian Red Cross promote a spirit of service and to build awareness relating to cleanliness, hygiene, waste management, environmental protection and social issues, has decided to institute awards for institutions and individuals involved in these activities. The awards will be given to institutions, the Nodal Officers and the Young Red Cross and Junior Red Cross volunteers who perform the best in the following categories and Govt. has requested the Commissioner of School Education to issue orders to necessary instructions to all the educational institutions ie., High Schools and Colleges in the State:

1. Cleanliness, Hygiene and Green Cover in the campus
2. Conservation of Energy and Water in the camps
3. Waste Management in the Campus
4. Awareness on Social Concerns
