In the reference 1st read above, Government have accorded permission to the Commissioner of School Education and Chairperson DEECET to give options to the Managements who are willing to conduct English as medium of instruction for
conducting English Medium D.EI.Ed course, and she has been directed to prepare modalities like preparation of separate English medium Text books, question papers and valuation etc for change of medium of D.EI.Ed course from Telugu to English.
2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Commissioner of School Education and
Chairperson DEECET has stated that based on the above orders, 30 Pvt. D.El.Ed Colleges have been accorded permission to convert seats (1700-50 Intake-26 Colleges and 100 Intake-4 Colleges) from Telugu Medium to English Medium from
the academic year 2017-18 so far (course starts for the batch of students 2018 - 2020). Government is already managing Success Schools with parallel English Medium Secondary Level as per the orders issued vide G.O.Ms.No.78, School Education (Prog.l) Department, dated:05.10.2017. She has further stated that
Government has issued orders to obtain and process proposals for introducing parallel English Medium at Primary School level also. This requires English Medium Teaching skills to teachers to be recruited at Primary School level in future through Teacher Recruitment Tests/District Selection Committees. The Commissioner of School Education has, therefore, requested to accord permission for introducing English Medium D.EI.Ed course in all Government District Institutes of Education
and Training (DIETs) in the State to an extent of 50 seats in each DIET from the academic year 2018-19.
3. In the circumstances reported by the Commissioner of School Education, A.P. Amaravati in the reference 2nd read above and after careful examination of the matter, Government hereby accord permission to the Commissioner of School Education, A.P. for introducing English Medium D.EI.Ed course in all Government District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) in the State to an extent of 50 seats in each DIET from the academic year 2018-19.
4. The Commissioner of School Education, A.P. Amaravati and the Director, SCERT, A.P. Amaravati shall take further action accordingly.
