DEECET-2018 NOTIFICATION FOR ONLINE APPLICATION

- 1. Online application for DEECET – 2018 are invited from candidates who intend to take admission into two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in Government District institutes of Education and Training (D.I.E.Ts) and other Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in the state to be conducted by Dept. of School Education, Govt of A.P on 17.05.2018 and 18.05.2018in all 13 Districts of the state of A.P. In DEECET-2018 English medium seats are also available in certain Govt DIETs and Private D.El.Ed. Colleges to an extent of 6050 approximately and the number of seats may vary at the time of web options. For eligibility please see the information bulletin.
- 2. Date and Time of DEECET - 2018: DEECET will be conducted on 17.05.2018 and 18.05.2018 in all 13Districts of the state of A.P. The test will be conducted through online in spells.
- 3. Fee and submission of Application Online : The fee prescribed for appearing for DEECET - 2018 (including examination fee) is Rs.500/-(Rupees Five hundred Only). Candidates can pay the fee through payment Gateway from 28-03-2018 to 12-04-2018 and submit online application at the DEECET – 2018 website: https://cse.ap.gov.in & https://apdeecet.apcfss.in from 28-03-2018 to 12-04-2018.
- 4. Procedure for submission of application online: Detailed procedure for applying ONLINE is given in the Information Bulletin. Candidates can download the “Information Bulletin” free of
- cost from the DEECET – 2018 website: https://cse.ap.gov.in & https://apdeecet.apcfss.in from 28-03-2018 onwards.
- 5. Examination centers for DEECET - 2018: DEECET – 2018 shall be conducted in all the 13 Districts ofthe A.P. State. Candidate can choose any District of his/her choice for online examination center. If the slot for examination is exhausted (capacity) in the opted district, nearby district centre will be allotted.
- 6. Eligibility criteria for admission:
- A. Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
- B. The candidates should satisfy Local / Non-Local Status requirement as laid down in the A.P.Educational Institutions (Regulation of admission) Order1974 as subsequently amended.
- C. Candidate should have obtained a rank in DEECET-2018 and should satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed.
D. Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 17 years as on 01-09-2018.There is no
Upper age limit.
E. Educational Qualifications:
- I. The candidate who passed or appeared for the 10+2 during 2017-18 final Examinations (Qualifying Examination) or its equivalent are eligible to appear for the entrance test. But, they shouldhave passed the qualifying examination by the time of admission.
II. The candidate should have secured 50 percent of marks in aggregate in qualifying examination for appearing in the DEECET – 2018 for both A & B category seats. The minimum percentage of marks inthe case of Schedule caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates shall however be 45 percent for both A & B category seats.
Note:The candidates who passed Intermediate with vocational courses are not eligible
III. Candidate belonging to “O.C” and “B.C” communities shall secure minimum 50% marks in DEECET - 2018. For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates the minimumqualifying mark for allotment of seats reserved under the respective categories will be 45%. That is to say candidates belonging to SC and ST
communities should secure 50% of marks for consideration against seats under OC/NCC/CAP/Sports category.
- 7. The details pertaining to the structure and content of the test, Syllabus, Pass certificate, Rule of Reservation and allotment of seat are given in the Information Bulletin.
- 8. Storage of Examination material: The Examination related material will be preserved for six months from the date of Examination and no application in this regard will be entertained beyond this period.
- 9. Allotment of seats: All the sanctioned intake of seats in Government DIETs shall be filled
by the Convener, DEECET-2018 on the basis of rank obtained in the DEECET-2018 duly following the rule of reservation vide rule 6 & 7 of G.O.Ms.No.30, Dt.08.07.2015. The seats allotted to the Un-Aided institutions shall be classified as (1) Category ‘A’ seats (2) Category ‘B’ seats. The Category ‘A’ seats shall be 80% of the sanctioned intake seats in the Un-Aided institutions that do not opt for SW.2 shall be filled on the basis of rank obtained in the DEECET-2018. The un-aided institutions that opt for SW.2 shall maintain the region wise reservation. The Category ‘B’ Seats shall be 20% of the total intake seats in the Un-aided institutions. These 20% seats shall be opened for the candidates who appeared In DEECET-2018 and has been assigned rank in the common merit list.
- 10. Method of Admission: All the seats in the Government Institutions / DIETs and 80% of the
seats belongs to category ‘A’ shall be filled by the Convener DEECET-2018 and the 20% of the seats which are belongs to Category ‘B’ shall be filled by the respective institutions subject to scrutiny by the Convener, DEECET-2018. - 11. TENTATIVE SCHEDULE-DEECET-2018
