Every year, an all India essay, painting & quiz competition is conducted by PCRA attracting massive participation. Addressing the objective of inculcating a sense of responsibility in young minds, winners are awarded attractive prizes along with a study tour of foreign country to learn the advancements and efforts made towards petroleum conservation and energy efficiency.
Essay, quiz and painting competition for 2017 has been rolled out. This is a golden opportunity for millions of young budding students to test their caliber & bag the coveted certificates, prizes and an all-expenses paid educational foreign trip.
The attention of the all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference read above, (copy enclosed) where Sri. G.K.K.V. Umashankar, Dy. General Manager, State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry -A.P., HPCL has informed that conservation of Petroleum products and environment protection is an important national cause for our country for which our Honble Prime Minister has given a call. Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, New Delhi is a national government agency engaged in promoting energy efficiency in various sectors of economy.
Further, Sri. G.K.K.V. Umashankar, Dy. General Manager, State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry -A.P., HPCL has informed that it is believed that young and sensitive minds of school going children with their creative minds can carry forward this objective effectively by way of Drawings, Essay Writing and Quiz competitions. Keeping this in view, PCRA has been conducting competitions at national level for school children.

The process flow for Essay & Painting competitions:
•Schools to register on portal Conduct Essay Competition in 2 or more languages in their premIses Conduct Painting competition in 2 categories i.e. Junior & Senior in their premises Evaluation of Essays & Paintings by school teachers
•Best 2 Essays in each language to be uploaded on portal by each school registered
•Best 2 Paintings in each category to be uploaded on portal by each school registered
The Process flow for Quiz Competition (online registration):
•School to input student details. Maximum students to be encouraged to participate
•Students take the quiz in school premises
•Best 2 students selected thru portal comprise school team
•School teams compete for becoming district Level Winner
•District Level Winner teams compete for becoming State/UT Level Winners.
Therefore, all Regional Directors of School Education and all the District Education Officers in the State are requested to issue necessary instructions to all the Dy.Eos, MEOs & Headmasters of all managements of all schools to encourage maximum number of schools and students to participate in the competitions, so that the probability of A.P. students winning more number of prizes will be high, bringing laurels to the State.
