The Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India (Gal) is conducting the Nationwide Painting Competition and Essay Writing Competition on Water Conservation annually. The details are as follows:
1. Painting Competition:
It is being organised/conducted for the students of 6th ,7th & 8th standards at school level followed by State Level and finally at National Level in New Delhi. The prize money in case is given at
State level and National Level.
2. Essay Competition:
It is open to all in the age group upto 18 years as on the date of competition, Prize money in cash is given for the selected essays.
Further, the Regional Director (Ijc), Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation has informed that both the competition comes under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Schemes, Government of India. In order to take part in the above said competition, it will be mandatory for the participants to have Aadhaar.
Further, the Regional Director,Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation has informed that in pursuance of the provisions of Section 7 of the Aadhar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016). individuals
who are entitled to receive benefits under Scheme are requested to possess Aadhaar enrolment by 31st August, 2017. This list of Aadhar centres for enrolment can be had from Aadhar website i.e., www.uidai.gov.in.
Further, the Regional Director (lie), Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation has requested the Commissioner of School Education to issue necessary instructions to all the DEOs/School Headmasters under our jurisdiction for ensuring that all the school students
are enrolled with Aadhar before 31st August 2017, to enable them to participate in the above said events
Therefore, all Regional Directors of School Education and all the District Education Officers in the State are requested to issue necessary instructions to all the Dy.Eos, MEOs & Headmasters of all managements of all schools to encourage that all the school children students are enrolled
with Aadhar before 31st August 2017, to enable them to participate in the
School Level Painting and Essay Writing Competition.
