ORDER:-
In the reference read above, the Commissioner of School Education, A.P. Amaravati has stated that the GoI have sanctioned ICT@ 5000 schools Computer Education Scheme and it was implemented on BOOT (Build Operate and Transfer) mode from October, 2008 to March, 2014. After bifurcation of State, 2852 Schools were allotted to Andhra Pradesh. The ICT Labs in 2852 schools are not in a position to be utilised for Digital classrooms using Audio Visual content or for conducting basic computer awareness classes as most of them have become defunct. She has further stated that the ICT@2000 schools (1300 High Schools + 700 Jr Colleges) was approved by the GoI and under School Education, the ICT@1300 Schools was implemented on BOOT (Build Operate and Transfer) mode from July, 2010 to July, 2015. After bifurcation of the State, 768 Schools were allotted to Andhra Pradesh. The computer peripherals on completion of the project is allotted to APTS as a 3rd party and computer peripherals are in working condition. In view of the above, she has proposed that Audio Visual content mapped to A.P. State syllabus should be made available to the teachers so that they can use the same during lesson planning and in effective delivery of lecturers using Audio Visual content in the classroom. To accommodate the digital learning in the schools, bare minimum infrastructure is needed in the 2852 High Schools and certain equipment is required to convert 768 ICT Labs as digital classrooms. Hence, she has requested to sanction an amount of 45,49,80,000/-(Rupees Forty Five Crores Forty Nine Laksh and Eighty Thousand only) for continuation of ICT Project with digital classrooms in 3620 Schools. 2. In the circumstances reported by the Commissioner of School Education, A.P. Amaravati, after careful examination, Government hereby accord administrative approval for implementation of ICT Scheme for effective delivery of lecturers using Audio Visual content through digital classrooms in 3620 (2852+768) High Schools, with an amount of Rs.45,49,80,000/-(Rupees Forty Five Crores, Forty Nine Lakhs and Eighty thousand only) from the B.E. 2016-17 plan. 3. This G.O. issues with the concurrence of Finance (FMU-Edn) Department vide their U.O. No. 81053/114/FMU-Edn/2016, dated 10.05.2016. 4. The Commissioner of School Education, AP, Amaravati shall take further necessary action accordingly.
